After PM Narendra Modi made a big announcement about scrapping the 500 and 1000 notes, people had been in rush to exchange the money in the whole country. Though it was said as a good decision, people had to face few problems for few days.
Amidst all the opinions and apprehensions about the decision that will have a major impact on our economy, Twitter, as usual, decided to see the light side of things.

One of the famous Twitter users Chetan Bhagat also chimed in with one of his own.
Ladies and Gentlemen, cash, is the new trash.

But it seemed to be a bad experience that not many people found it funny with his tweet. It is not surprising that it often happens when he tweets and gets trolled.

.@chetan_bhagat At least we have new currencies in exchange of those "trash". We are getting something.
Can't say the same for your books

Many decided to ‘trash’ his novels:

@chetan_bhagat naah, nothing can beat your books! 😀

@chetan_bhagat Cash trash is temporary , your novel trash is permanent.
