Irrespective of the authenticated news from the players or the board, these days, it has become a habit to write whatever it is and all this is done just to grab the attention of the audience on the social media or mainstream news. And, starting with the personal life aspects, to the cricketing life, people leave no stone unturned in messing up with the careers of the cricketers.

These days, Virat Kohli, Team India’s skipper has become an epitome of sensation on the news, be it his style of hitting, or the style, Kohli remains in limelight for various reasons. The recent speculations regarding his absence in the Sri Lankan series are now going viral.

Certain sources somehow wrote that Kohli might rest for the following matches, despite the valid news from the board, these rumors were widespread, and when asked about this, just ahead of the series with Sri Lanka, Kohli was all on fumes, he literally lost his cool with the media people, and went giving befitting answers. With the reply from the Chief National Selector MSK Prasad quoting that Kohli will be available for all the upcoming series, there was bit ambiguity in this, and Kohli himself has opened up in public.

Responding to the reporters, Kohli said, “Definitely I do need rest, why don’t I need rest? When I think of the time my body should be rested, I’ll ask for it. I am not a robot you can slice my skin and check I bleed,” Kohli told reporters on the eve of India’s first Test against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens from Thursday.

This 29-Year-Old skipper further added, “This is one thing which I don’t think people explain properly. There is a lot of talk from the outside in terms of workload — whether a player should be rested or should not be rested. All cricketers play 40 games in a year. Three guys who should get rest, their workloads are to be managed. 11 players play the game but not everyone would have batted 45 overs in an ODI game or not everyone would have bowled 30 overs in a Test match.”

Well, these questions surfaced the Internet soon after the rumors of Kohli’s wedding with Anushka has come out. Now for all the good reasons, Kohli cleared the air.
